My Disney Trips

I love planning my next Disney trip and thinking of the fond memories created on previous trips.  Below is a summary of all of my Walt Disney World and Disney Cruise Line vacations - including the ones I'm still in the process of planning!

Upcoming Trips

March 2022 - Walt Disney World / runDisney
COVID put a damper on our Disney travel the past two years, but we are planning our triumphant return and I couldn't be happier!  We'll be staying at Vacation Village at Parkway just outside of the Walt Disney World Resort.  In addition to visiting the parks, I'll be running in the inaugural runDisney Springtime Surprise Weekend - the Race for the Taste 10K!

Previous Trips

January 2020 - Disney Cruise Line
We set sail on a 4-night Disney Dream cruise to Nassau and Disney's Castaway Cay.  We enjoyed so much on this cruise from the islands, to the food, to the kid's club, to the deck parties, and much more! It was the first cruise we've been on with both of our boys and I have to say it was magical in every sense of the word.

October 2018 - Walt Disney World
I was fortunate to have to opportunity to attend the Association for Middle Level Education's Annual Conference which was held in none other than the fabulous Orlando, FL!  Of course, I had to squeeze in a few magical moments during the evenings after wrapping up my professional learning during the day.  I stayed at Disney's All-Star Movies Resort and attended Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party.  It was a my first solo trip to the house of mouse and was a pretty incredible experience!

December 2017 - Walt Disney World
We spent 5 nights using our Hilton points to book a stay at the DoubleTree Suites by Hilton Orlando.  This was our first visit to include a chance to explore Pandora - The World of Avatar at Disney's Animal Kingdom.  Not only did our boys enjoy a magical trip, but we traveled with close friends of ours for their very first visit to the Walt Disney World Resort.  Lots of memories were made!

February 2017 - Walt Disney World / runDisney
My friend, Christine, and I traveled to Walt Disney World for a runDisney girls weekend as part of the Glass Slipper Challenge.  Both the Princess Half Marathon and the Enchanted 10K were magical events.  For this quick getaway, we stayed at Disney's Coronado Springs Resort and enjoyed some quality time in Disney Springs.

October / November 2016 - Walt Disney World / runDisney
We spent a week at the Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek with my parents.  Our boys were 1 and 4 for this trip - not always the easiest ages to travel with, but they certainly enjoyed some Disney magic!  Our vacation included enjoying kid favorites like the Jedi Training Academy: Trials of the Temple, The Pirates League, and the Pirates and Pals Fireworks Voyage.  I was also able to run in the inaugural runDisney Wine & Dine 10K.

November 2015 - Walt Disney World / runDisney
This was an adults only long weekend trip.  This was my first visit during the Epcot's International Food and Wine Festival and the first time I participated in the Wine and Dine Half Marathon Weekend races including the Wine and Dine Half Marathon and the Jingle Jungle 5K.  We stayed off property this time at the beautiful Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek.

July 2015 - Walt Disney World
Our first trip with 2 kids - 3 years old and 5 months old!  We stayed at Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa in a Studio Villa using Disney Vacation Club points we rented from David's Disney Vacation Club Rentals.  We enjoyed all things preschooler and infant friendly on this magical trip!

November 2014 - Walt Disney World
5 night stay at Animal Kingdom Lodge - Kidani Village.  We rented DVC points from David's Disney Vacation Club Rentals and stayed in a Savannah View Studio on the Sunset Savannah.  We were at WDW to celebrate some of the holiday festivities, including the Osborne Spectacle of Lights at Hollywood Studios and Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party.

April 2014 - Disney Cruise Line
4 Night Bahamian cruise on DCL with my husband to celebrate my 30th birthday.  We were on the Disney Dream and our ports included Nassau and Castaway Cay.

June / July 2013 - Walt Disney World and Disney Cruise Line
7 Night Eastern Caribbean cruise on DCL with my husband, son (17 months), in-laws, and my husband's sister and her family.  We were on the Disney Fantasy and our ports included St. Maarten, St. Thomas/St. John, and Castaway Cay.  We extended our vacation (just my husband, son, and I) to stay 3 days at the end of our cruise in Disney World and stayed at the Contemporary Resort.

April 2011 - Walt Disney World
My husband and I travelled to WDW with another adult couple.  We stayed off property at the WDW Hilton and vacationed over Easter.  A fun "adults-only" trip!

July 2008 - Walt Disney World
My boyfriend (now husband) and I went to WDW for a week.  We stayed at Port Orleans Riverside.  This was his first trip since he was 3 and my first trip as the Disney expert and planner!

March 2003 - Walt Disney World
This was a trip I took with my parents over my college Spring Break.  I was 18 at the time and we stayed for 5 days at the All Star Music Resort.

October 1994 - Walt Disney World
I was 10 and visited with my parents and my great aunt.  We stayed at the Caribbean Beach Resort and also visited Universal Studios and Sea World on this trip.

November 1989 - Walt Disney World
My first trip!  I was 5 and went with my parents and grandparents.  We stayed off property at the Viscount Hotel.   This is where the magic began!
